Digital X-ray
X-rays are essential for diagnosis prior to orthodontic treatment. They make it possible to check bones, tooth roots and growth patterns.
How it works
Before the first consultation, a panoramic overview image (OPG) of all teeth is taken, which shows the condition of the teeth, tooth structure, malformations and the condition of the tooth roots and the periodontium.
This is particularly important for the mixed dentition in order to recognize the arrangement and position of the teeth and the stage of development of the root formation. In this way, special findings such as missing, supernumerary or incorrectly positioned teeth can be detected at an early stage. Patients benefit from the low radiation exposure and the efficiency of a single digital OPG image for a comprehensive treatment plan.
